"This is one of our favourites of Mickleover Running Club members. It’s what we call the Radbourne Loop.
It is a real favourite as we can access some beautiful south Derbyshire footpaths straight from the door. It passes through farmland, some estate land and has really great views. It looks really different depending on the season, there is usually some mud somewhere to negotiate and occasionally cows and sheep on route too. Of course there might be a little incline too!
There are lots of options to extend the route when we want a longer run but makes a decent quick after work run route too. It is pretty well used and so the footpaths are easy to follow but quiet enough that you often have it to yourself and can have some peaceful reflection during a run. It makes for a great as a head torch run especially through the woods and it is a super little introduction to our members that haven’t run off road before."
Thanks so much to Kellie from Mickelover for sharing this route with us! If you're in Derby, why not join Mickleover
for one of their runs?
