Is the Lomond waterproof and how should I layer it?
Outer shell later is Water Repellent (WR) treated which allows water to bead up and roll off the jacket's surface. However this treatment is not “waterproof”, but only “water-repellent”. It cannot withstand heavy or continuous rain by itself.
We would recommend an waterproof outer layer such as our Exmoor waterproof jacket for use in rain or extended drizzle. Wearing a base layer under your Lomond will also improve with comfort and breathability.
How do I wash my insulated jacket?
3M™ Flowable Featherless Thinsulate™ Insulation has superior wash performance durability compared to others. It retains shape and consistency without clumping after washing better than competitors.
We would recommend using Granger Down Care 2 in 1 and following the instructions as per the detailed Grangers How To Use instructions.
Wash with similar colours. Cold machine wash. Hang to dry. Do not iron. Do not bleach. Do not tumble dry. Do not dry clean.
Important - Please do not wash your jacket with normal detergent or it will damage or inhibit the water repellant and insulating performance.
How environmentally friendly is it?
3M™ Flowable Featherless Thinsulate™ Insulation is 80% recycled, with a lower carbon footprint than standard synthetic insulations. Bluesign Approved technology, OEKO-TEX 100 Standard and Global Recycling Standard certifications.
How do I store it?
Highly compressible (15x15cm base and 10cm height) with an integrated storage bag in pocket to roll up and stash when not in use. Or hang using the hang-loop inside the jacket.
How much does my insulated jacket weigh?
Depending on your size the jacket weighs from around 400g.
