How To Fuel
Sometimes it can be hard to know how much and when to eat on a long run or race. Rule of
thumb - aim to consume 40-50g carbs and 200 kcal per hour. Top tip - set your watch to
beep every half an hour to remind you to eat regularly and stay consistent.
Sports Jelly - 20g per sachet
Feel Good Bar - 40g per bar
Energy Fuel - 40g per sachet in water
Example - If you are running for 4 hours you will need around 180g of carbs. You could make
this up from:
- Jellies x 5 = 100g
- Feel Good Bar x 1 = 40g
- Energy Fuel x 1 = 40g
